Since many of you experienced problems with opening “Add/Change” window and we, unfortunatley, unable to reproduce this issue on our side, we’ve released Quick Cliq 1.3.5 beta 32-bit with possible fix for this problem.

Love the app, but I’m also experiencing some odd behavior when trying to open the Add/Change menu as well (in v1.3.4 x64 – Windows 7). I think I was actually experiencing this in the previous release, too. I came to your site to see if there were support forums or anything like that; somewhere I could help debug the problem…
Quick Cliq usually works like a charm after initial launch (starting with Windows), but after awhile (or after the PC has been put to sleep), the app will hang when the “Add/Change” option is clicked… Sometimes the “Please Wait … ” message will pop up, but it always gets stuck and hangs. Even though the Add/Change menu never actually opens, I can see something in the Windows taskbar (but it’s also unresponsive, even when right-clicking the icon to try and close it). In fact, when this happens, the only thing I can do is kill Quick Cliq via the task manager and re-launch it…
Could this have anything to do with users that have an exceptionally large number of shortcuts and menus? I have about 300 shortcuts total, spread throughout 6 menus and another 12-15 sub-menus… But you guys don’t use databases like sql, right? The application just calls upon the .ini file to generate and build the menus?
I don’t know, I’d like to help debug this problem because I really love Quick Cliq (I’ve used dozens of launchers and yours is the best), and I know it’s freeware, so you need all the help you can get with debugging and troubleshooting. Is there a place to talk to other users about support, or help you debug the app?

UPDATE: Well, I’ve only been using this beta version for a few hours now, and I’ve let the PC sleep for a couple times, and so far this version hasn’t bugged out (no hang on the Add/Change selection).
I’ll post back if I can replicate the bug with this beta version; but if it works like it seems to for now, a x64 version with the update would be really appreciated! Cheers!

regarding the problem, i hope it was fixed starting from 1.3.5b1 (you can get last beta, see right panel)

Just some follow up on this issue. I just so happened to be a couple versions back on my work box, and I got bit by this bug when I updated. I can confirm that 1.3.5b3 addressed this issue for me.
